Deposits for Taught Postgraduate Courses

This message only applies to non EEA nationality, overseas applicants starting a full time taught postgraduate course (MA, MSc, PG Dip, PGCert etc.).

All postgraduate taught course applicants are required to pay a tuition fee deposit of £1000 before a CAS can be issued. This deposit must be paid well BEFORE the start of your course. For details please see the International Office Deposits Newsletter You also need to have an unconditional firmly accepted offer to qualify for a CAS.

We cannot issue a CAS after the course start date.

CAS Deposit Waiver for Sponsored Students

The University will waive the deposit requirement for students who are fully sponsored by a recognised sponsor. If you are fully sponsored for your course fees, you must submit a copy of your sponsorship letter in order for the deposit to be waived. Please note that if a sponsorship letter is not received, you will be required to pay the deposit before a CAS can be issued (for unconditional offer holders). Please submit your sponsorship letter to helen.rylands@nottingham.ac.uk, quoting your full name and application ID number.

The University will only accept sponsorship letters from recognised sponsors (overseas governments, international businesses, universities, trusts and charities etc) and not from friends/family members. For any questions relating to your sponsorship and deposit requirements, please contact: helen.rylands@nottingham.ac.uk.
